Go head-to-head with your opponent as you put on your safety helmet, adorn your foam baton and beat your combatant by knocking them off their podium and onto the highly safe landing soft bed. Excellent for spectators and participants, this equipment is available for overnight hire subject to terms and conditions agreed with our staff.

All will be willing to test their strength and stamina with this exciting attraction. Competitions are easily arranged and guests will not be able to wait to have a  rematch with their opponents! Royal wedding street party

If you are planning to hire a bouncy castle or attraction for entertainment at a street party you are planning to celebrate the forth coming royal wedding, you will need to contact your local or county council.

Most council’s, including Hertfordshire, have made it very easy to apply for authorisation  to celebrate on the big day. Hertfordshire county council for example have waived the usual fee’s for road closure. You can usually fill in an application form online. There will normally be a submission deadline, so if you are planning a neighbourhood street party on this date, get in touch with you local authority sooner rather than later.

The county, borough and district councils have made a real effort to make organising an event to celebrate this great occasion as easy as possible for you, visit their website and you find information offering advice to help you. There is normally some criteria to meet to satisfy them that your event is classed as a street party, for example the party is for the enjoyment of the local residents and neighbours, that it be purely self organised, any music played is of an incidental nature, and that there is no selling.You may well find that a formal risk assessment is not required, again your council will be able to advise you.

If the selling of alcohol or the engagement of certain types of entertainment is required the council will be able to advise you on what you need to do to apply for authorisation.

Power generators for bouncy castles

If you are hiring an inflatable or other attraction for your event and need to locate the bouncy castles where there is no access to a mains electricity supply, we can supply a power generator or a fuel powered fan to solve the problem. Hire fees for generators are kept to a minimum. These are supplied with a full tank of fuel which will give you 3 to 4 hours of power for the bouncy castle.

Other things to consider when deciding if power generators are required is if a mains supply is utilised, where are the cables going to run. Upon installation we always ensure power cables are stowed away from public access, but if you are planning for example to make the attraction a centre piece, then a mains supply will not be practical as the cables will be trailing across a public area.

Holding kids bouncy castle parties in halls

The outdoor summer bouncy castle hire party season is almost upon us. Even so you may be planning in holding your children’s party in a community centre or village hall. There are a few things to note that may be helpful.

If you are looking to hire a bouncy castle for your indoor party you need to ensure the inflatable will fit in the hall, and leave you enough room for safe play, and the tables & chairs. We are familiar with a great many halls in Hertfordshire if you are unsure please tell us the name of your venue as we may be able to offer advice.

Most halls are large enough to hold parties, as a rule of thumb when considering venues for a kids party, if the room is smaller than a badminton court it would be wise to get the measurements from the hall staff.

The main criteria for being able to host a bouncy castle for a party in a hall is the ceiling height. We do have a wide selection of inflatables with different heights. When talking to your proposed venue staff do ask for the height clearance of the room just in case we are unfamiliar with your selected venue.

An absolute must when the hall is booked is to get an emergency contact number for the key holders should there be any problems gaining access to your hall on the day of your party. It is rare, but it would be a disaster for you and your party guests if there was a breakdown in communications with the hall booking staff and nobody arrived to let you in.

Make a note in your diary to contact the hall booking office or caretaker a few days prior to your booking to get confirmation that your emergency contact number is still valid, your booking times have been recorded and all is well.

It is rare when access to halls cannot be gained. We have had two instances in the last ten years, once was in the summer about 4 years ago on a fine day and the key holder did not arrive, the guests started arriving, disaster was averted by a family member in attendance volunteering use of their home garden as fortunately it was a fine day.

The other was last weekend, the weather was awful, there was no key holder and our customer had no contact number. There was nothing to be done, the family were forced to cancel the party and were totally distraught as you can imagine, so please do not let it happen to you, double, double check with the hall venue.

Inflatable slides are a fantastic attraction for kids parties, school fetes and other fund raising events. At a school fete slides have the capability of generating a high return of income due to the fact that you can accommodate a large volume of children over a short period of time, all paying to have a go.

Our attention getting inflatable slides stand around 20 feet tall. The slide platform that the children climb to is 10 feet. This is the highest platform we are permitted to allow you to self supervise, platforms higher than 10 feet have to be supervised by our staff operators.

We often get asked whats the best money to charge ? Obviously you want to raise as much funds for the school or organisation as possible, we have found that £1.00 for 3 go’s works very well as the charge is not high enough to deter users, and will keep the kids keep coming back for more, keeping the slide busy for the duration of the fete raising a high level of income for your cause.

A small bouncy castle is always an ideal addition to a slide at a  fete to give the tots who are too young for this attraction a fun day too.
