Discovery Networks has announced its lineup of new series and returning favorites for the Fall season. The channel is offering an abundance of new unscripted offerings as well as some old standbys, including “Moonshiners,” “Moonshiners: Master Distillers,” “The Dirt,” and more. Discovery’s lineup also includes the season premiere of “Artemis 1: Going Back to the Moon.”
The popular series season of discovery gold Rush returns for a ninth season with Parker Schnabel still at the top of his game and in a gold-rush rivalry with fellow miner Tony Beets. The show follows miners from across the globe as they brave the elements and fight for their share of millions in riches.
This season, the miners race to strike it rich as they return to the fields for the first time in weeks amid closures due to the coronavirus pandemic. Schnabel and Beets are both looking to expand their empire this season. But the stakes are higher than ever before. A new challenge comes in the form of a major issue at Todd Hoffman’s mining camp and the crew has to fight for every ounce.
Meanwhile, Rick Ness is back at it after cashing in his entire life savings and buying a claim of his own. He takes a gamble on a mine that could be the biggest payout of his career, but he also knows it’s a risky move that could end up costing him everything.
Military veteran and Greenhorn Fred Lewis also returns to Alaska with his eyes on a big payday this season. But it will take a lot more than his military skills to pull off this daring heist.
In another new addition to the Gold Rush family, a team of explorers and experts visit abandoned mines around the country and try to determine if they have enough gold to justify further excavation. Dave Turin, a civil engineer who previously hosted the Discovery Channel series “Dave’s Lost Gold,” will lead the team as they travel to locations such as the Golden Gate National Recreation Area in San Francisco.
